Accommodation

CanaDAM 2013 will take place on the campus of Memorial University of Newfoundland, which is located within 3 km of downtown St. John's. This distance may or may not be within walking distance, depending on personal preferences.

Conference delegates should make their own reservations at a location of their choosing. A selection of options and a map of their locations can be found below.

On-Campus Accommodation

The CanaDAM Conference rate for single a single room is $35 per night, or $55 for a double room. These prices include both the 13% HST and 4% hotel tax. To make a reservation, download this Request for Accommodations form, and then submit it to conferences@mun.ca by 1 May 2013.

The prices listed below are per night and do not include the applicable 17% taxes (13% HST and 4% hotel tax).

• Quality Hotel Harbourview, 2 Hill O'Chips, at the east end of downtown.
  A block of 50 rooms has been set aside for conference delegates at a rate of $159 (single or double occupancy). This rate is only available until 9 April 2013. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in all guest rooms. To make a reservation, call the hotel directly at 709-754-7788 or send email to cn246fd@whg.com and request the "CanaDAM group rate". This rate is not available for reservations made online or through the toll-free phone number for the hotel chain.

• Sheraton Hotel Newfoundland, 115 Cavendish Square, at the east end of downtown.
  A conference rate is available until 25 May 2013, subject to room availability: $199 for Traditional, $234 for Deluxe, based on single or double occupancy. Complimentary parking and internet access are included. To make a reservation, call 709-758-8453 or 1-888-870-3033 or email reservations@sheratonhotelnewfoundland.com and request the "CanaDAM group rate". This rate is not available for reservations made online.

• The Delta, 120 New Gower Street, at the west end of downtown.
  No group rate has been provided for conference delegates. General rates start at $215.

• The Guv'nor Inn and Pub, 389 Elizabeth Avenue, a short walk from the university.
