Application Procedure for a Graduate Student or Postdoctoral Fellow Seeking Funding To Attend the CanaDAM Conference (May 25-28, 2009, CRM, Montreal)

To be considered for partial funding, the information requested in items 1-10 below must be sent in a single pdf document to marcotte@CRM.UMontreal.CA by March 2, 2009 (use Subject header: CanaDAM funding request). Incomplete applications will not be considered; please ensure that you include all of the required information. Priority will be given to students from Canadian universities.

1. Your Name (Last, First).

2. Your Institution.

3. Your University Address; Province/State; Postal code; Country.

4. Your E-mail.

5. Name of your Supervisor.

6. If you are a graduate student, indicate the degree sought and the expected date of completion. If you are a postdoctoral fellow, indicate when your fellowship appointment ends.

7. Indicate whether you will be giving a talk or not, and if so, what the title of your talk is.

8. Projected Eligible Expenses:

  • Travel (indicate means of transportation and cost);
  • Accommodation (indicate where you are staying and the total cost; if you are sharing, indicate your portion of the expenses only).

9. Indicate the financial support from all other sources that you will be receiving for expenses related to the CanaDAM 2009 conference.

10. If you are not giving a talk, a letter from your supervisor explaining why it will be a valuable experience for you to attend the CanaDAM 2009 Conference must be sent to marcotte@CRM.UMontreal.CA (with Subject header: "CanaDAM letter of support : YOUR NAME").

We will let you know by March 23, 2009, whether funds have been allocated for your expenses. In order for you to be reimbursed, you will have to submit necessary receipts together with the expense claim form within four weeks of the end of the conference. The expense claim form will be available at the registration desk of the CanaDAM 2009 conference.
